Sponsored by the seed heritage conservation non-profit, Native Seeds/SEARCH, this certificate permaculture course will be held on 6 weekends from November, 2011 through April, 2012. It will be led by Toby Hemenway and will feature some of the most experienced permaculture teachers in Arizona–members of the Sonoran Permaculture Guild–as well as nationally known teachers. The PDC will give you holistic tools for creating food, water, and energy security; building healthy communities and economies; and solutions to many other issues. It provides a framework for decision-making in a complex world and for right livelihood. Permaculture uses ecological principles to create sustainable human communities that have the diversity, stability, and resilience of natural ecosystems. This life-changing course is ideal for homeowners, gardeners, teachers, design and real estate professionals, and anyone interested in creating a sustainable future.
The course is adapted to a wide variety of learning styles and is presented via lecture, images, video, group discussion, exercises, and design projects. For more information on the permaculture design course in general, see the FAQ.
